The Cottage sits in extensive gardens behind our farmhouse at Castle Forbes Bay, in Tasmania’s Huon Valley. Our central location provides easy access to all the attractions of the Huon region, including the internationally famous Tahune Airwalk, (which is also the home of the beautiful Southern Forest Threads quilt, made by the ladies of the Huon), the Hastings Caves and the stunning Hartz Mountains. Wineries, craft outlets, restaurants and the exciting Huon River jet boats cater for all tastes – whatever your choice you will find it in the Huon Valley.

You can wander pristine beaches or climb rugged mountains. You can sit in the sun and just absorb the peace and quiet and the views, or you can hang glide at the Airwalk , hurtle down the Huon River on the exhilarating jet boat, or toss a line in and catch a salmon for dinner. The choice is yours.

And what better place to come home to in the evenings than Camellia Cottage. Tastefully and comfortably furnished, the Cottage has a cosy log fire as well as electric heating. Electric blankets and hand made quilts ensure a good night’s sleep and the peaceful location of the Cottage, one kilometre from the main road, means no disturbance from intrusive traffic noise.     more >
