Two acres of garden means many different places to sit and enjoy the views. The gardens are part of the Australian Open Garden scheme, and are lovely in each season. Many trees have been planted specifically for their autumn colour, and even in winter there is color from the camellias, as well as the stark beauty of leafless trees, sometimes with icy frost on their bare branches. Your own private gas barbecue area makes the evening meal easy, or you could go out and try one of the restaurants or hotels in the area. Local fish and chips is always a good alternative, or maybe a wood fired pizza – its nice in the winter to bring it back to the Cottage, open a bottle of wine and relax sitting by the fire. The Cottage is also equipped with a microwave, and an electric hotplate, so you can prepare light meals if that is what you would like to do.

We provide you with generous breakfast provisions to have at your leisure, and the privacy of your own Cottage means you can eat whenever you like – watch television at midnight, or listen to the radio, without any concern about disturbing other guests. Your breakfast basket includes home made cookies, home made bread (hmmnnnn, that smell of warm home baked bread is unbeatable!), and our own fruit picked and turned into jam, just like you tasted years ago. Juice, eggs, cereals, teas, coffee etc complete the picture.

Perfect for a couple, the Cottage is comfortable and welcoming, your home away from home. Comfy sofas, books, magazines, games and television. No hassles, just comfort and peace, a very reasonable tariff and a warm welcome from owners Geoff and Liz Francis.

Have we tempted you? If you would like to enquire about availability, please email Liz and we will respond to your enquiry within 24 hours. Overnight, a weekend, or longer stays are catered for, and children are welcome. If you wish to make a firm booking, we will confirm by ordinary mail and include a Huon Trail map to help you plan your time in the Valley before you arrive.
